Northern Baja Adventure
Day One
Go Baja’s Ridin’s courteous crew will meet you with our transport vehicles for pick up at either the San Diego airport or your hotel at 12:00 noon. Now sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful Baja Pacific Coast as we take the scenic 68 mile ride down to the seaside town of Ensenada where the crew of Baja Ridin' will check you in to our hotel. Relax by the pool or sight see and shop. We will meet up for a fresh seafood or steak dinner at one of Ensenada's finest and most popular dinner nightspots "Papas and Beer". Bruce and his crew are personal friends with the owner, so great fun and personal service is always guaranteed.
After dinner, consider visiting "Hussong's Cantina" or other local hotspots. Or turn in early to prepare for our big ride the next morning.
Day two
Lets ride! After an early breakfast and riders meeting we’ll ride south, enjoying mountains, beautiful pine forests, fresh mountain stream crossings, old missions, and some of the best single track riding on the planet. Our trailside lunch will be along the famous Baja 1000 racecourse! Then it's across the challenging Diablo dry lakebed and through the beautiful desert and mountain ranges above San Felipe, a small fishing town on the Sea of Cortez. By now you are ready to relax by the pool of our beachfront hotel, enjoy ice-cold cerveza, or just sightsee along this beautiful fishing village. Later, enjoy the freshest seafood/steak or traditional Mexican food in Baja.
Day Three
On to Mike's Sky Rancho. We can arrive early and relax by the pool, or add some extra challenging miles to "make your day". Mike's Sky Ranch sits in the mountains above the small farm town of Valle De Trinadad on the Baja racecourse. This quaint, secluded pueblo has been a favorite stop for many famous racers and celebrities. It features fresh ranch style steak dinners, racers’ bar and pool, and clean comfortable rooms.
Mike Sr., a famous Baja competitor, started this hotel decades ago and it has grown in popularity as a place to see in Baja. Now the tradition of great food, drink and hospitality continues on with "Mike Jr." continuing his fathers' legacy. It is a legendary Baja experience. By now the stories will be flowing, and you will be having a great time. Next AM a fresh breakfast will fuel you up for another adventurous day.
Day Four
Santo Thomas. The riding today is considered by many to be the most beautiful and challenging of all. You will trek out of Mike's Sky Rancho to the Pacific Ocean. A catered lunch on the trail will be a welcomed break. Then it's up the coast with the spray from the ocean waves keeping you cool! Once you experience the beautiful sandy beaches, you will want to return time and time again. Our tour concludes in Ensenada with transportation back to San Diego for the evening.
Northern Baja 5th day Options
San Quintin-a beautiful day’s ride along the Pacific upon leaving Mike’s Sky Rancho to the south through the pine mountains and close to the highest peak in Baja, 10,000 feet! Through stream crossings and high mountain vistas, then out to the beach trails south into San Quintin. Tons of photo opportunities here. Another great evening stay, with a fantastic fresh seafood, steak or traditional Mexican dinner at the Old Mill Hotel and Restaurant.
Rancho Santa Veronica (Tecate)-This option is for the rider seeking more single track trails, many from the famous Tecate Enduro course, amid a beautiful pine forest. Bring extra warm clothes during winter months, as we could experience some snow and rain. With loads of Go Baja Ridin’ Super Bad-Ass Baja Trails, this option is highly recommended for all you "A" riders.
Loreto Peninsula Exploration and La Paz Super Excursion
For the adventurer seeking even more of the Baja Peninsula experience, consider these deep southern journeys. Also departing from San Diego, these promise to show you even more of “The Real Baja”, like very few others do. 300-year old Missions, nearly untouched beaches and cactus forests, and some of the most beautiful bays and mountains on earth! While riding you will frequently feel that you can reach out and touch the Sea of Cortez and its many distinctive islands.
Your route loosely covers some of the traditional Baja 1000 race course. Loreto (5-day trip) riders finish in this quaint seaside resort town and take a convenient flight home. Riders on the full 7-day excursion continue on to La Paz or Cabo San Lucas at “The Lands End”, the tip of the peninsula. And remember that during your entire trip our fully equipped chase trucks will “skirt” our adventure and meet up with us throughout each day supplying all of your necessary services-food, gas, jackets, drinks, water, etc. Our team is your rolling workshop and supply caravan!
You will stay at the finest hotels, and dine on the freshest seafood and incredible lobster tacos. Consider extending your stay and experience sport fishing, diving, and incredible shopping. You may even wish to fly in the spouse for a romantic rendezvous! Cabo San Lucas has incredible nightlife and entertainment.
Go Baja Ridin’ Tours looks forward to sharing this ultimate excursion with you.
Enjoy the Ride. We’ll do the Rest
